| Who
are we?............... |
We are an
independent, Edinburgh-based hill walking club which started in 1953. |
|
Where do we walk?..... |
Travelling
from Edinburgh, we cover an amazingly wide area of Scotland, from the
Cairngorms to Galloway, and from Arran to Angus. Some walks are more
local, and sometimes we venture as far as the English Lakes! |
| When?....................... |
Every
Sunday throughout the year, plus regular evening walks in summer, and
holiday weekends. |
| What
sort of walks?.... |
We walk in
a variety of terrains: mountain ridges, hills, glens, forests, coasts
and country parks. Typical length is about 8 to 12 miles. |
| How
do we get there?.. |
Many
walks by private bus; others by service bus or occasional train. |
